Lazy Belper librarians have an extra Bank Holiday
Thought I would have a walk down to Belper Library today for the first time since my knee operation. Imagine my surprise to find it shut. Apparently librarians in Belper work so hard they need one more Bank Holiday than everybody else!

Toby Anniversary
It is exactly a year ago today that we said goodbye to Toby (Heliodor Pickle) as he started his new life as Maximus of Swindon! He was a handful but we still miss him loads.

A bough of a tree fell into the car park of Peveril Homes HQ in Green Lane Belper yesterday damaging some cars (tee hee hee)
Petty Minded neighbours in St Laurence Convent
Our petty-minded neighbours who run St Laurence Convent Management Ltd of Belper and their puppets at Cotswold Property Management Services Ltd of Stonehouse have put a lock on the gate giving access from St Laurence Gardens to Green Lane and are refusing to give the code to residents of houses in St Laurence Gardens! What pathetic individuals.
